Royal cubs may be reserved with deposits starting at 8 weeks of age and are released to new parents typically at 14-16 weeks. Before departing, kittens are 100% litter box trained, successfully using a vertical scratching post, have had nails clipped & been bathed and groomed routinely. By 14-16 weeks they have completed a series of 3 kitten FVRCP vaccinations, received all scheduled de-wormings and a rabies vaccine depending upon age. A complete physical examination, including necessary health screenings is provided by a practicing licensed veterinarian just before pick-up to confirm CURRENT optimal health. The equivalent cost of 3 to 4 vet visits at minimum go into the health provisions of every kitten. Any health issues requiring veterinarian care prior to placement are documented and freely disclosed. Parents who reserve a kitten are sent photos routinely and updated on the kittens’ progress through the day of delivery. Florida buyers will receive an Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection pursuant to section 828.29 Florida Statutes. Placement is DELAYED if a kitten shows ANY signs of illness, poor potty habits, or is not recommended to be released per our veterinarian due to a health issue. Veterinarian and kitten owner references are offered upon your request.
Considerable labor & expense are required for every planned litter, the proper maintenance and care of the queen, her kittens, and the running of a cattery; these include: home alterations to properly house breeding cats, the cost of outcross male and female breeders, routine veterinarian care dental exams, c-sections and other emergencies, Florida Health Certifications, HD radiographs, HCM screenings of parents by board certified cardiologists (Univ. of FL), DNA testing, specialized food made for Queens and weaning kittens, supplements, vaccines, prescriptions, flea preventatives, natural litter, grooming and sanitation products, monthly show fees ($400-$700 per show) necessary to have breeding cats evaluated, annual association fees, pet sitting, and litter registrations. These are only some of the general costs. Breeders drastically under the national average of $900-1500 (for quality pedigrees) should be questioned; they may be cutting corners: not using reputable breeding lines, avoiding health screenings and sufficient vaccines, neglecting comprehensive vet care, and failing to provide a superior diet and/or proper housing. Raising top notch kittens in a quality environment requires a great financial investment and 4 months of continual labor. Healthy kittens don’t just happen! Don’t be fooled by sales or cattery reduction prices or claims of “lowest prices”… you will get what you pay for and in the end spend more in health bills. Remember, you are buying a live companion whom you will invest your heart in, not a piece of furniture...why we don’t ship, send overseas, or heavily advertise.
A telephone interview or visit to RoyalLions is preferred before a kitten can be reserved . Litter visitations are welcomed after 8 weeks old; please contact us for a mutually convenient time. Plan on washing hands and removing shoes before entering the kitten nursery, please do not be offended as we follow the same practice daily to prevent compromising young immune systems. If you wish to reserve a kitten at this time, a deposit (1/2 of the kitten fee) will formally hold the kitten in your name. He or she will be removed from availability and denied to other buyers therefore, 1/2 of the deposit will be retained if a cancellation occurs. Due to traveling distances, visitations are NOT required to reserve a kitten, many successful placements have taken place with the sharing of photos and information online and via telephone. RoyalLions encourages the offering of photos of. a new home and other pets, they may be emailed to royallions@comcast.net. We provide 24/7 in-home care and attention to our kittens so they will bring the greatest companionship to their new families. They are not raised isolated in cages, garages or outdoor pens; they share our home and even sleep with us. It’s our deepest concern that they go to the most optimal environments where they will continue to be loved and nurtured. “Sunny Delight” (“Sunny D”) ...love at first sight! A strikingly beautiful and gentle kitten that’s always happy and eager to see a person! He has the ability to turn a gloomy day into pure Sunshine and bring a smile to everyone! We can’t help but greet Sunny D with a “Hello Mr. Sunshine” the minute we see him. “Hungry Jack”….nurses 24/7 on momma like he’s at an All You Can Eat Pancake buffet. Hungry has an insatiable appetite and while his brothers play he is often at the food trough! A big loving eating machine much like his daddy. Sweet as maple syrup, Hungry Jack will certainly add a delicious presence to his new home and make a fine companion to any meal!

“WildFire” has just a tad of BBQ sauce on her eyebrow to suggest her outgoing and daring personality. She is 6 weeks here going on 16, giving her the “tween” necklace went to her head! WildFire escaped the playpen at 5 weeks old jumping several feet vertically to a ledge where she catapulted herself up and out to free herself to the big wide world of our bedroom. She runs around like a little woodland creature creating lots of mischief and laughter while teaching her brothers tricks of the trade….they finally caught on 3 weeks later, lets hope Fire doesn't find the matches!

“Hamburglar” was named “the Burglar” because when he started eating pre-kitten food he would not eat from just his bowl, he had to try every ones. He would edge his way into all six bowls and get a nibble to make sure he wasn’t get ripped off ! Ham is a brown classic tabby with a wonderful wild/ feral expression, a joker’s smile, a super long tail, and a loving and approachable personality. Being a rip off artist at heart, Ham is capable of being a thief of hearts! He is everyone’s love! He is also CheeseFry’s best buddy. When they are together we refer to them as “Ham and Cheese”.

“CheeseFry” … Cheese is Hamburglar’s sidekick. Cheese is often the laid back brother that Ham cuddles up to after he has exhausted himself robbing the food bowls. Fry is a darker cheddar colored kitten with show quality looks. He is incredibly long and tall with big puppy feet. We often call him handsome and he is inclined to settle himself on our laps and lay kisses on our cheeks to return the compliment.. His nature-made smile is contagious and he will be the purrfect side dish to a family with another furry companion.

“Moose Trax” dark, sweet chocolate and a bit clumsy . Prefers to step into the water bowl with his big front feet before taking a drink while bumping others out of the way and leaving wet tracks behind. Moose loves people and is an affectionate addictive treat who will charm just about anyone despite the path he leaves behind. When he wants attention he lets out a precious trill and we all come running. Moose has a special affection towards WildFire, he is a gentle brother. Luckily they are going home TOGETHER!

Furalina Jolie: Strikingly beautiful and she knows it! This Angel Kitty, rather, is beautiful black tortie with white. Due to her bi-color face, she can be a bit “two face” to the others but only when they whisper behind her back. Jolie says they are baffled on how she applies her makeup so purrfectly every day. An envy to all the other kitties in the house, she is another painted beauty like her mother! Jolie is rather independent and claims there will be no Brad Pitt in her life, all she wants is a real family of her own and to be pampered and loved as any beauty queen deserves! She hopes to open her own line of beauty cosmetics to help support her hopeful Hollywood –like lifestyle. Her alias will be “Chloe” not Mrs. Smith!

Sean Coonery: (on right) A brave warrior that even death couldn’t take. Connery was stuck in a breech position upside down in the birth canal of his momma. The only thing hanging out was his tiny foot, this was not enough to grab hold to. We had no choice but to force him out as his 3 sisters were right behind him and our vet was closed at 1 am. We figured he’d arrive dead or severely injured because all we could do is pull him by his tiny foot. When we finally dislodged him he wasn’t breathing. We rubbed him relentlessly (and prayed hard) in an effort to revive him. Suddenly he began breathing. It was a true miracle. Connery was faced with the dangerous odds of being totally ripped apart but it didn't end in a Red October for him. He is as handsome and resilient as they come!

Feryl Streep: (aka Meryl) isn’t fooled by all of Connery’s dramatics. She has him all figured out and thinks his ploy in staying in the birth canal was just one huge attention getter. She knows an actor when she sees one! Meryl doesn’t close her eyes at night, as she feels she is the most intelligent of the bunch and needs to be the protector with her two sisters being ditzy super models. She thinks they need to get a life! She can size just about anyone up who visits the kitten nursery and won’t let you get away with a thing. Always on guard, attentive, but loving and interactive, Meryl will be a constant companion to her new owner. Her new human may as well accept that Meryl will soon be the one in charge! It wouldn't surprise us if she asked for the keys to the car!

Cindee Clawford : (Dede for short, meaning divine!) No, the black mole is not fake, it’s real! Cindee a dramatic tortie with white with a true natural beauty mark on her right cheek ! She is in constant competition with her sister Jolie to be more beautiful and spends considerable time in the mirror and online shopping for anti-aging creams. Cindee is a very playful kitten who has a bit of smarts but is still more beautiful than brainy. Her sister, Meryl has to sometimes convince her to tone down the makeup or the other cats in the house will call her “Tammy Fay”. Cindee believes everything Coonery tells her and will often be led to dangerous games he invents. Luckily her sister Meryl keeps a watchful eye over her and Jolie. Cindee is secretly happy that Jolie will NOT follow her to her new home as she s sick of her complaining she is too fat! Cindee is known to have a chunky predisposition and desire for second helpings...not the best traits for a Super Model!
